"My
name is Justin, and I am the owner of Fusion Fabrications LLC. Today,
Fusion Fabrications LLC is a diverse company that has experience in
several areas. From welding, plumbing, to the installation and repair
of complex irrigation systems and snow removal. Give me the opportunity
to show you how Fusion Fabrications LLC can help you accomplish your
challenges."
Here
is a detailed history of how Jusin McElfresh grew his business into
Fusion Fabrications LLC:
Fusion Fabrications
opened its doors as a welding and fabrication company in 2003. The owner,
Justin McElfresh had the dream when he was in his teens about building
a company that provided many trade services to the community. Justin
has always been a firm believer that the customers will continue to
call if you give them the highest quality at a fair price. Most of Fusion
Fabrications customers have been with us since the beginning, and we
continue to grow. Throughout the years Fusion Fabrications has invested
in equipment to decrease repair time and minimize customer down time.
Justin McElfresh,
owner of Fusion Fabrications LLC, acquired his first job in 1993 at
12 years of age as a farm hand on a local dairy farm. He stated that
working on the farm was one of his best experiences when he was a kid.
He started out by milking in the evening after school and then milking
before and after school.
When Justin
was 13 (in 1994) his father bought him his first welder, a Lincoln 110
MIG. After some practice, he had become proficient with the little Lincoln
welder. By the time Justin was going into 10th grade (in 1996), Justin's
mother had suggested he should take a vocational technical course.
In 1996,
he elected to enroll in vo-tech courses for plumbing and HVAC (Heating
Ventilation and Air Conditioning). At age 16, he started working for
a local plumbing company in Frederick, Maryland. Justin says he had
some of the best leaders in the industry showing him the technical skills
he needed to succeed in the plumbing industry.
In 2000,
Justin began running his own "new construction" jobs. Keep
in mind that Justin was still welding in the evening and weekends so
he could keep up with the demand for welding repair work. By the end
of 2000, Justin had decided to learn the service side of the plumbing
trade. He began to work with a plumbing service firm in and quickly
excelled. By 2001, he began running his own service truck, performing
plumbing repair work on various systems. Throughout the next few years,
Justin trained in boiler repair, and commercial plumbing.
In 2003,
Justin started "Fusion Fabrications" while holding positions
with a leading plumbing company. Beginning in 2004, the demand for his
welding repair and fabrication soared, creating a challenge; how was
he to hold a full time plumbing position, while at the same time, establish
Fusion Fabrication as a leading welding and fabrication company. At
the end of 2004, Justin decided to devote 100% of his focus to Fusion
Fabrications LLC, placing his customers and company first.
In 2004,
Justin purchased his first mobile rig to accommodate on site welding
and fabrication. Later that year, a larger shop was built to facilitate
his company's growth. For the next several years, his client base began
to expand, as well as his eagerness to learn additional trades.
In 2007,
he began showing interest in the irrigation systems. With his self motivation,
he began learning how to install and service complex irrigation systems
from leading industry experts. Since he has had past experience in the
plumbing industry, he quickly excelled in this new trade; servicing
irrigation pumping station systems throughout the east coast. Amazingly,
he was able to accomplish this while still performing welding and fabrication
work. Learning this new trade has allowed him to advance his company,
and provide irrigation services to his customers.
Justin believes
knowledge is one thing any one person cannot have too much of. When
asked, "where do you go from here?", he responded by saying:
"I'll
continue to train on whatever comes my way to further my education
and complete my dream. When you love what you do, you'll never work
a day in your life."
